Our brand new Design Team

Hello all, thank you so much for the great response we received to join our team, it was extremely hard to chose but chose we did and here are the lucky ladies.

I live in Buckinghamshire with my family, ....husband, 17 yrs old twins, dog, chichens, several gerbils and probably more animals to come!!!

I was a teacher for many years, giving up when the twins were born, due to the fact that my son was born with severe cerebral palsy and requires 24/7 care. He is away at school for part of the week, so I blitz the house in order to 'play' Crafting has been part of my life for ever it seems. Even at a young age I made pictures with nails and metal .

Over the years have dabbled in cross stitch, all sorts of paper crafts and knitting, and several years ago got the card making bug. Since then have enjoyed taking a few classes and learning new techniques, using many different mediums, which I now love to include in my projects. I really enjoy thinking outside the box a little and love altered art and upcycling items for home decor. I am always happiest when am covered in inks and paints and trying new ideas, many of which end up in the bin, but always something is learnt from the mistake. I should admit now that I have to buy almost every craft magazine on the market!!!!! I find a lot of inspiration in their pages as classes are difficult to attend now. One day I threaten to organize them. LOL.

By day a mild mannered Civil Servant BUT by night I’m an inky crafting demon – lol

I’m Judy [Jude to most people] and I’m honoured to be a member of the DT here at the Anything Goes Challenge Blog. I live in Sheffield, have 3 grown children, the last of whom is about to leave home, and a granddaughter. Alongside my day job I’ve been my son’s carer for the past 18 years as he has profound special needs due to meningitis. Crafting has been my refuge and helped keep me

sane. With all the extra hours I’ll have when I’m no longer caring, I plan to have a fine old time with

my inks, glue and paper. Hopefully you’ll like what I create.

I’ve tried my hand at lots of different crafty/arty things over the years from oil painting to knitting, and love getting messy in my craft cave. There’s usually several projects on the go at any one time[some of which will never be seen by human eyes] and my 2 cats love to help or have a nosey at them. They get quite upset when I make them move out of my chair or off my table.

I got more serious about my crafting last year thanks to my sister, Jen. We have a blog at http://cardscakescraftsandcatastrophes.blogspot.co.uk/ where we show the things we’ve been playing with and share a little about our life's

My name is Nikki aka xxCalamityxx

I live in Lincoln with my 2 daughters JoJo who's 21 and Emma who keeps reminding me that she's 18 in April, oh how time flies !! (I just celebrated my 43rd birthday on Dec 29th) !!

We live just outside Lincoln although I'm a Yorkshire lass at heart as I was born in Skipton and and raised in Barnsley before we moved down south many moons ago.

I work as a ward sister on a busy acute psychiatric ward and crafting truly is my therapy !!

Although I have always enjoyed cross stitch and sewing l didn't discover paper craft until 4 years ago.

I had a brainwave to make a scrapbook for JoJo's eighteenth and started off with a little box of

goodies found on e-bay, said scrapbook is still a work in progress as card making soon took over and now I have crafty chaos everywhere !!

I absolutely love the look on peoples faces when they realise their card really was made just for them.

I started my "baby blog" just over a year ago and love meeting new crafty people, I DT for Cricut inspired challenge blog FCCB based in the USA and I am really looking forward to working with the lovely ladies at The Anything Goes Challenge blog too.

Hi I'm Janine. I live in North Yorkshire with my very understanding and supportive husband and our 3 wonderful teenage children, Leonie, Brandon and Frazer.

I'm a very practical hands on kind of person, from crochet and dressmaking in my younger years to my job as a primary school cook, DIY and a love of card making today.

About 2 years ago I discovered Blogger and all the wonderful card making blogs out there. In Feb 2012 I finally plucked up the courage to start my own blog, sharing my cards and entering competitions. I love working with both rubber stamps and digital images. My images are mainly coloured with Copics and I'm working hard to improve my shading.

I'm really looking forward to being part of the Anything Goes Design Team where I can challenge myself with new skills and creations, and hopefully inspire a few people along the way.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Bye for now,

Janine x

Hi my names Kerry and I live with my OH (Adrian) and my two kids Shannon (16) and Bradley (13) and not forgetting the dog Jasmine who is 11. I work as an accountant, mostly from home part time due to a back injury but I do spend some mornings in the work place.

I always believed when the kids got older it would be easier!!!!! that was a myth, with their social life (I'm sure I never had as much as they have) and all their activities keep me busy and I always imagined they would be best mates, nope!!! they fight like cat and dogs, when doing the dishes I spend my time being referee!!!! Anyway as you may notice I waffle a lot and I really am trying to keep it short and sweet, even the dog covers her ears after spending the morning with me in the office!!!

OK I started crafting in 2006 when I had a break down (not to worry I'm now sane most of the time :-)), I asked my OH to grab some bits to do Easter cards with the kids, of course in my mind I was thinking lollypop sticks and card, but he came back with such beautiful embellishments, and while the kids were not over interested but there I was, tongue sticking out (OH always knows when I'm really creating as my tongue sticks out like the dog!!) creating some wonderful cards, well I thought so lol, I look at the pics now and laugh!!!.

Next I scored the internet and was wowed and amazed what you can do, so it all started from there. I love all types of craft, I have a huge addiction to buttons, ribbons and more recently papers. I love to stamp and have well over a thousand stamps, I stopped counting after that. My problem is I bought them as I liked them, but as I grew into stamping I found out that quality in rubber is better than quantity. I'm afraid I haven't got a type yet, I really love dabbling into grungy, inky, shabby chic, vintage and cute. I love colouring and think it's great stress reliever and have all the flexmarker and promarker range, but I do wish I had gone for copics, but by the time you have invested in over a 100 of them I didn't want to change my mind lol, I can see me in the future buying a few to have a go, I also have recently (crimbo) got all the distress markers, and I also bought the whole set of polychromas pencils when I went through a time of doing parchment but now I'm learning to use them for colouring.

I love playing, it's great to learn techniques from amazing artists in blog world and I then like to play play play so I can then pass on what I have learnt :-). I am really really lucky to have my own craft room which is also my office, mind you the times I have to remove craft off my work desk as I tend to like to spread. I am extremely honoured to have been chosen to work with this Design Team and I can't wait to play with challenges, see all your wonderful creations and also do some tutorials and sharing along the way. Happy Crafting :-)

So that's our fabulous new team. They are joined by our resident design team

If you are still interested in designing for us please apply for a spot on our Guest Design Team. That way we get to see your beautiful creations again..

We had such a hard time choosing the new members we originally wanted 3 new ladies but ended up choosing 5 instead! the standard was so high..

Well here they are

Hi my name is Doreen and I live at home in Sheffield in the UK with my husband Tommy. We have Three grown up children and two grandchildren. I am now retired from work and the spare time I found I had, made me look around for a hobby. I have been card making for about three years and absolutely love it! Promarkers are my favourite colouring medium. I am really into paper crafts of any sort but love making cards. I am so pleased to be a part of the Anything Goes DT.

My name is Christine and I am a craftaholic! ... Well that's the hard bit done...
Seriously, I'm an addicted crafter in my late 50's. I have a lovely OH who I've been with 10 years now - and he's exceptionally patient when it comes to my crafting. He will wander round craft shows with me happily... even pointing out things I may like..... how good is that?! I live in Wetherby, Yorkshire and I have two gorgeous grown up girls 27 & 26 - one lives closeby in York, and the other is now in Bermuda for a couple of years. I lived on the beautiful Isle of Wight with my partner for 7 years, before we moved up to Yorkshire... I'm a northerner at heart - from Lancashire originally.

And I've crafted for as long as I can remember.... I've gone through all the usual phases - dress-making, knitting, embroidery, American crafts - and now in the last few years my addiction has moved onto cardmaking, with some jewellery making thrown in too. I've not done any scrapbooking yet. I can't sit idle for too long - I need a copic or a pair of scissors in my hand to feel comfortable... but I'm sure you all know that feeling. My cardmaking style varies, from CAS - to shabby chic...... embellished - to plain. It all depends on my inspiration. But there is always glitter.... and pink too if I can manage it!! I also create wedding invitations. I'm lucky enough not to work, but I do volunteer at my local AGE UK charity shop - getting the brownie points in as it's actually getting close to me needing to use them! LOL

So that's me. I'm really looking forward to working with you all..... you look a friendly lot - and I'm very honoured to be asked to be part of the DT for this fab challenge blog!

Big hugs
Christine x

Hi, I’m Lisa also known as Craftybirdlisa, and I am really honoured to have been chosen as a design team member..
I live in Somerset with my two amazing kids and my wonderful Staffie. I have always liked to sew and bake, but only took up papercrafting in May 2011. And wow, am I addicted. I really enjoy card making and have recently ventured into the world of memory books.
I love all things paper!! And boy there are so many out there, including Kanban, Bo Bunny, Magnolia First Editions and of course Papermania, to name but a few. And then the embellishments, ribbons, bows, charms, flowers and sparkly bits. How does a girl chose!!
My main passion is stamping, Tilda, Gorjuss, Sarah Kay, and Lotv to name just a few in my ever growing collection. I love getting my promarkers out and bringing an image to life. I also enjoy experimenting with distress inks to create new backgrounds and textures to my cards. I have built up my craft stash over the last year and especially love my trusty Cuttlebug and Spellbinders dies.

My Photo

My name is Suzie and I am 54 very happily married for the second time, we have 7 children and 3 grandchildren between us. Our family is huge as all except one have spouses or partners, so I always seem to have a card on the go. I work part time in our family business and hope to retire one day, preferably tomorrow... LOL.
I have been making cards since late last summer and love it, started off with Promarkers but progressed to Copics with the help of Father Christmas, I love all styles and still finding my way as I am a novice, but I am improving all the time with the help of YouTube :) and all the fantastic tutorials out there. My favourite images are Saturated Canary, LOTV, Nellie Sneddon and Magnolia. I have a CraftRobo which I am only just finding out how to use, so watch this space.
I am totally amazed and gobsmacked to have been chosen as my other team mates are super talented. I hope I can do the Anything Goes Challenge Blog proud.

Welcome ladies we are all  looking forward to your inspirational creations..

Welcome to the Design Team

For our current challenge please click HERE

Good morning, what an exciting day it is for us here at Anything Goes HQ as you all know we have had a design team call.  It was a very difficult decision to make as we had so many wonderful entries.  Thank you to everyone that entered.  If you are still interested in joining our team please put your name down to become a guest designer HERE

Lets now introduce the new team
First up is..

Sharon Keanly

Greetings from South Africa.... I am absolutely thrilled to be a Designer for Anything Goes Challenge Blog.

A little bit about me... My name is Sharon and I live in the coastal city of Cape Town, where I get to view the majestic Table Mountain every day. How lucky am I? Card-making is my speciality, although I have tried making a few other items too. I love starting out with a blank canvas and then sitting back after a few hours to see what I've managed to produce. Pretty paper, ribbon, flowers and rubber stamps are my weakness. As I work full-time, my crafting time is limited to evenings and weekends. This is when I get to relax and play. A friend and I have regular 'play dates' via skype-ing, where we chat and craft for hours on end. I am also Mom to a wonderful daughter, who is an Attorney and Conveyancer. She’s my pride and joy! I hope you enjoy viewing my creations as much as I enjoy sharing them with you.

hugs Sharon

I also have a very stupid westie called Bobby, who never fails to amaze me just how daft he is!!
I started card making around 7 years ago to help keep me sane (debatable!! lol), I have been stamping in one way or another for many years but last year I discovered Tilda, hAnglar & sTanglar, Elisabeth bell etc and very quickly became hooked. I tend to flit between prismas and promarkers. I am fairly new to blogging but I have become addicted to it.

Elaine

Hi, I'm Elaine, married to Andy for 22 years, we have three children, two boys aged 16 and 14 and a little girl who is 4 years old.
I have been crafting with all things since I was a very little girl. I used to make things a la Blue Peter and Take Hart, loved art at school and love getting messy.
I have been cardmaking for the last 10 years and was introduced to it by a friend. I started out very simple with peel offs and printed images and then moved all to stamping and digi stamps. I love to experiment with colour and my new Spectrum Noir pens are my absolute favourites!

Lovely to meet you all :)

Val

I am in my 60's, have married for 38 years, with two grown up sons, and three cats - a Persian who is now 17 years old, and two naughty boy Chinchillas. I live in a small village in Hampshire, southern UK.

I have a fairly eclectic style, working with stamping, digital and multimedia and altered art. I took early retirement because of ill-health, which has now improved beyond measure, and although crafting in one form or another has been part of my life since childhood, when I found cardmaking, and particularly rubber stamping, etc, around 10 or so years ago, it was almost life changing for me - I became addicted! This is well evidenced by the amount of stash I have, and very little space left in my craft room. I love colour and working with it and the results were so immediate.

I feel truly honoured to be a designer for you.

Annette

My name is Annette, 42 years old. I live in Sweden with my husband, our two boys, 17 and 14 years old and our dog, Kiwa who is a Flatcoated Retriever girl.
I have always loved to craft, but then I discovered card making, I know that this is absolutely one of my greatest passions in life. My favourite colour is green, no doubt, but I find that I use quite varied colours when I create.
My main interest is card so I've tried some different folds, which I think is fun and challenging. But I have more to learn ;o)
I'm so honoured to became part of the team
There are so many talented ladies and gents in the world that have inspired me and I do hope I can inspire some of you back!

Thanks again for this opportunity!"

Joanie
http://craftietimes.blogspot.com/
Hi I'm Joan, I am an accountant and have been married to Rob for almost 6 years and we live in Todmorden. I am mum to two children, Paul is in the army and Rachel is in her final year at uni. I have two gorgeous grandchildren, Molly and Ben, who are my pride and joy.

I have always liked to create in some form since a little girl starting with knitting, then dressmaking, cooking, gardening, cross stitching and then about 6 years ago I started card making. My daughter persuaded me to start a blog and I finally succumbed about two months ago when I started entering challenges.

My style is quite eclectic as I like cute, conservative and shabby/grungy. I like to scrapbook and love mixed media projects. I started jewellery classes in my local bead shop in order to incorporate this into my projects. I now sell my cards and mixed media projects in the shop. I also hold a monthly workshop there teaching mixed media. I love teaching and it is so rewarding to see people who may not have crafted before producing a project to be proud of. I think I have missed my true vocation!

To be invited to join the DT was such an honour and I am so pleased to be part of such a talented team.
